What are Loans Against Mutual Funds (LAMF)?

LAMF is a type of secured loan product that allows you to borrow money by pledging your mutual fund investments as collateral. It offers you a way to access funds without having to redeem your mutual fund units. This way, you continue earning returns on your investments while meeting your financial needs.

What is the eligibility criteria to avail a Loan Against Mutual Funds on 50Fin?

You should be aged between 18 and 65 years old.
You should be an Indian resident.

We don’t require any minimum credit scores, income proof, or any other documentation!

How do my mutual fund units get pledged?

When you apply for a loan on 50Fin, your mutual fund units get digitally pledged with CAMS and/or KFintech (India’s leading Registrar and Transfer Agents) in favor of our lending partner, Bajaj Finserv Ltd . While pledged, you continue to earn returns on your investments but cannot sell your investments until they have been unpledged.

How do I unpledge my units?

Upon your intimation, 50Fin will inform the RTAs to unpledge your units (this takes up to 4 - 5 working days). Please note that this can only be done if there is no outstanding principal or interest due on your loan/outstanding. However, we do allow partial unpledging of units in case you choose to make a partial repayment.
